Protect Your Eyes from Digital Strain!

In today’s digital world, excessive screen time is taking a toll on our eye health, leading to digital eye strain (also known as Computer Vision Syndrome).

Symptoms like dry eyes, headaches, and blurred vision are becoming increasingly common. This month, Panoptic Vision is raising awareness about simple yet effective ways to protect your eyes:

✅ Take regular breaks—Follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

✅ Use blue light-blocking lenses to reduce strain and improve visual comfort.

✅ Optimise your screen setup—adjust brightness, positioning, and font size for better ergonomics.

Your vision matters! If you’re experiencing persistent eye discomfort, book an appointment and speak to our friendly team at Panoptic Vision today.

Spotlight on Myopia

Myopia (short-sightedness) is on the rise, affecting both children and adults at an alarming rate. With increased screen time and reduced outdoor activity, more people are experiencing blurred distance vision, eye strain, and a greater risk of long-term eye health complications. The good news? Early intervention can slow its progression!

At Panoptic Vision, we offer comprehensive myopia management solutions, including specialised lenses such as MiYOSMART, Ortho K contact lenses and vision therapy, and lifestyle recommendations to help protect your vision. If you or your child are experiencing difficulty seeing distant objects clearly, book an eye assessment today and take proactive steps toward better eye health.

Screen Time and Vision Therapy: How Much is Too Much?

While there may not be evidence at the moment that electronic device screens can damage children's eyes or impair the development of their visual systems, there are other health issues that may arise from excessive screen time use in early childhood such as ADHD, obesity and in particular, myopia. Read our blog to find out more.
